The Business Coach - Mid-Atlantic is a field based position coaching and supporting owners of Comfort Keepers franchises. The business coach will have accountability for franchise relations, strategic franchise development, and franchise system revenue and profit growth. Candidates located in Northern VA, Baltimore, MD, Washington DC, and Greater Philadelphia area preferred.
Position Summary: The Business Coach is accountable for providing business, financial, and operational support services to assigned Comfort Keepers franchisees with the goal of maximizing system growth and satisfaction while facilitating franchisee compliance with the franchise agreement and service standards. The Business Coach will conduct on site business reviews and regular phone coaching, utilizing business assessment and development tools developed by CKFI, including coaching models to improve franchise satisfaction and business performance and encourage development of strong business and leadership skills throughout the system in accordance with the CKFI vision, values, and mission. The Business Coach will also manage the strategic relationship between franchisees and CKFI; assist in the development and implementation of appropriate training programs; facilitate instructor-lead training programs; and is part of a cross-functional team designed to ensure that franchisees' businesses continue exhibiting growth and profitability.
Experience and Qualifications Requirements:
o Bachelor's degree required in finance, accounting, business administration, management or similar degree. An MBA is a plus.
o Minimum of 10 years experience in finance, operations, or franchised businesses with an emphasis on strategic leadership and management.
o Minimum of 5 years business coaching or consulting experience preferably in a franchise setting.
o Minimum of 5 years of franchise business experience.
o Direct management experience required.
o Leadership training experiences a plus.
o Experience in business ownership a plus.
o Sales experience a plus.
o Healthcare background, service industry a plus.

Essential Functions:
o Engage assigned franchises on a regular basis using appropriate business coaching methods to influence their behaviors with a focus on improving their overall business performance and satisfaction.
o Coach franchises in the development of an effective organizational plan, strategic business plan, effective use of strategic management processes, and the use of key financial management tools including budgets, monthly financial reporting, cash flow analysis, and the tracking of operational and financial key performance indicators to aid the franchisee in achieving profitable aggressive business growth.
o Ensure franchisee compliance with the franchise agreement and all CKFI operating standards.
o Collaborate with CKFI team in the development and implementation of appropriate training programs and change management initiatives based upon the needs of the franchisee and/or franchise system.
o Facilitate instructor-lead training programs and function as part of a cross-functional team to ensure franchisees' businesses continue exhibiting growth and profitability.
o Facilitate projects and initiatives utilizing internal resources and external consultants when appropriate.
o Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

o Ability to travel overnight 75% of the time; typically Monday through Thursday.

o Prior sales management experiences a plus.
o Information systems implementation knowledge.
o Strategic management experience.
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to manipulate, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop or kneel; talk and hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds (maximum weight of a suitcase). Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to focus.
Work Environment:
o Home Office or Franchisee Office location, which for the most part are ambient room temperatures, lighting and traditional office equipment as found in a typical office environment.
o Outside weather conditions prevalent at the time of travel.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
