The House Arrest Officer ensures that offenders are complying with conditions of house arrest and communicates, and violations to the courts.
The House Arrest Officer is responsible for developing a treatment plan with the offender.
Offender Supervision Monitor referrals from County, Municipal and Common Pleas Courts, Adult Parole Authority, CCA residential programs and other state agencies.
Ensure Acceptance/Rejection criteria is being followed.
Responsible for conducting intake procedures and establishment of an offender case file and treatment plan for the offender.
Responsible for ensuring the offender is aware of the fees associated with electronic monitoring and ensuring those fees are collected timely and completely.
Review non-compliance with Program Director.
Responsible for reviewing all program rules and expectations with the offender, including signing an acknowledgement of acceptance.
Daily review of the movement of each offender via computer for the previous day and check for any violations.
If applicable, write violation letters to the courts.
Create a schedule with offenders for weekly check-ins Collect urine specimens and BAC on state offenders, or any offender directed by the court.
Position may be on call after-hours for certain violations.
Equipment Oversight Assign and activate equipment.
Enroll and enter schedule into the computer system.
Enter all offender information into the monitoring system.
Inspect equipment weekly for tampering and damage.
Collect and clean equipment upon termination, possibly from outside of the agency in the community Review with Program Director any damaged or unaccounted for equipment.
Bachelor's Degree preferred with three-years experience in a human service position.
Knowledge of Electronic Monitoring Program, including activities, referrals, intakes, case management, programming and termination.
Knowledge of the Criminal Justice System continuum of sanctions and the ability to effectively communicate with external referral sources.
Able to successfully navigate database systems to access and update records.
