The Production Machine Operator(s) at Factory Manufacturing will operate various production machines and equipment as needed to keep the production process flowing.
This position is hands on and the operator should have an ownership and teamwork mindset, be a self-starter, and take part in the machine upkeep to keep the equipment in good working condition.
Machine Operators are regularly on their feet, monitoring, adjusting, and attentively aware of the equipment they are operating, and the quality of the products being produced.
Duties/
Responsibilities:
Operates various production equipment such as production and packaging lines & equipment to produce various types of powder and hydration products.
Troubleshoots, adjusts, and takes corrective actions to keep machines operating properly.
Partners with onsite mechanical technicians for optimal machine operation as necessary.
Keeps logs, records, and inspections up to date.
Keeps the equipment clean and in good operating condition.
Identifies issues that need attention or repair and submits maintenance work order requests.
Cross-trains and shares knowledge with other operators and/or lines.
Collaborates with other team members to foster a teamworking atmosphere.
Keeps track of materials and ingredients throughout production.
Abide by safety measures and policies including SOPs and GMPs.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Ability to anticipate and solve problems with attention to detail.
Proficient with data entry, inventory CMMS software and systems.
Certification and/or forklift and other warehouse lift operations experience a plus.
Data entry, math, computer, time management and organizational skills.
Effective written and verbal communication, as well as team-oriented collaboration skills.
Having a mindset of doing what it takes to complete orders and goals on time.
Flexible and tolerant of fast paced changes in a dynamic production environment.
Education and
Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent GED certificate.
Associate degree or Trade Certification a plus.
At least 1 year of experience as a machine operator or mechanic required.
2-3 years' experience in a food production/facility preferred.
Powders blending and packaging experience a plus.
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods of standing, walking, stooping, bending, kneeling around machinery.
Must be capable of lifting 50 pounds at time Job Type:
