In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Clerical and Administrative Support Positions Specialized
Experience:
One year of specialized experience is required for GS-05 level positions which includes knowledge of and skill in applying standardized body of HR rules, procedures and operations to perform full range of military customer support assignments; prepare HR documents with complicated formatting; extract, revise, and/or sort information from files, records and/or databases. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the GS-04 grade/level position or equivalent in the federal service. OR Education:
Four years of education above the high school level obtained in an accredited business, secretarial or technical school, junior college, college or university. NOTE:

Experience:
A combination of education and experience as described above may be used to qualify for this position. NOTE:

Experience:
One year of specialized experience for GS-06 level positions which includes knowledge of an extensive body of HR rules, procedures or operations requiring extended training and experience to perform a wide variety of interrelated or nonstandard HR support work; plan, coordinate, develop facts and resolve support problems. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the GS-05 grade/level position or equivalent in the federal service. OR Education:
One full year of graduate level education in a field directly related which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position. NOTE:

Experience:
A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. NOTE:

Experience:
One year of specialized experience for GS-07 level positions which includes Knowledge of military personnel policies, procedures, rules guidelines, publications, etc. regarding maintenance of records, casualty assistance, and entitlement determinations (active duty and reserve). Must analyze products to get desired results. Knowledge of military records and documentation and transaction procedures is required. Knowledge of installation personnel readiness programs. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the GS-06 grade/level position or equivalent in the federal service. OR, Education:
One full year of graduate level education in a field directly related which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position. NOTE:

Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
1. Knowledge of military personnel policies, procedures, rules, guidelines and publications. 2. Comprehensive knowledge of automated systems, personal computers, and software. 3. Ability to analyze data products. 4. Good knowledge and control of the English language. 5. Ability to communicate effectively with diverse groups of individuals, both orally and in writing. 6. Knowledge of Installation Personnel Readiness programs. PART-TIME OR UNPAID
Experience:
Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week. VOLUNTEER WORK
Experience:
Refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service Programs (i.e., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student and social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge and skills that can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
