FACILITY MAINTENANCE OPERATIONS SPECIALIST


Qualifications:
In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Administrative and Management Positions, Equipment, Facilities, and Services Series, 1601. SPECIALIZED
Experience:
Applicants must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower grade GS-07, or equivalent in other pay systems. Examples of specialized experience includes a Equipment, Facilities, and Services position; Knowledge to apply the full range of principles, concepts, practices, procedures based on assignments requiring extended training or experience in the Asset Management Practices and Principles within the area of Operations Management; knowledge in coordinating, developing, and balancing work schedules for maintenance and/or repair of facilities; collecting, recording, and validating budget and real property asset information; tracking, and coordinating the execution of work requirements; performing quality assurance and data analysis in support of maintenance and repair optimization activities; Knowledge of budgeting principles, concepts, and practices to prepare budget requirements submissions for operation, maintenance, repair, replacement of equipment, supplies, or increase in services; Knowledge of basic facility programming; governing documents such as AFIs, DoDIs and UFCs; work classification and prioritization, Civil Engineering organization and hierarchy, and Civil Engineering policies, procedures, playbooks, and guidebooks. OR EDUCATION:
Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position. NOTE:

You must submit a copy of transcripts. FEDERAL TIME-IN-GRADE (TIG) REQUIREMENT FOR GENERAL SCHEDULE (GS) POSITIONS:
Merit promotion applicants must meet applicable time-in- grade requirements to be considered eligible. One year at the GS-07 level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS-09 level. TIG applies if you are in a current GS position or held a GS position within the previous 52 weeks. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs):
Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
1.Knowledge in asset management principles and practices as it applies to operations management and requirements and optimization activities; rules procedures, and operations applicable to real property management and financial management. 2. Knowledge of civil engineering work control, customer service, and operations/maintenance management procedures; knowledge of civil engineering work centers and type of work performed by each type of work center and associated computerized maintenance management and sustainment management systems, system capabilities, and economic usage to effectively accomplish assigned functions. 3. Knowledge of safety, security, and environmental standards, regulations and requirements and how to apply them. 4. Skill in preparing FM program reference material and training presentation, and tracking training currency for all assigned FMs. 5. Skill in collecting, organizing, analyzing, sorting, associating, and filtering data from one or more sources using spreadsheet, database, or other data manipulation tools (macros, formulas, pivots tables, charts) in order to portray trends, findings, visualizations and build effective presentations to support and drive decision making. 6. Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing to brief supervisor, committees, and other groups; gather information; and prepare analyses of problems and reports. PART-TIME OR UNPAID

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
