LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST

This position is designated as a key position IAW AFI 36-507. Duties of this position are essential to the accomplishment of wartime/contingency operations. Incumbents of key positions must be removed from their military recall status if alternatives for filling of the position during an emergency are not available.

Experience:
Applicants must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower grade GS-11, or equivalent in other pay systems. Examples of specialized experience includes specialized and in-depth experience in formulation plans and policies for logistics programs, with high emphasis on requirements determination, operating procedures, deployment management systems, as well as a broad understanding of all phases of logistics. Specialized, comprehensive, detailed and extensive knowledge required to manage wing level management of AEF, unit type codes, base support plans, Installation Deployment Plans, deployment training, deployment/reception planning and management to include core elements of the Installation Deployment Readiness Cell. Comprehensive knowledge of international, interservice and intraservice support agreements is required to oversee the installation Support Agreement Management program. Comprehensive knowledge of War Reserve Materiel (WRM) policy, source documents e.g. WAAR, WCDO, USAF and MAJCOM methodology is required to effectively oversee the WRM program. Comprehensive knowledge of logistics automated information systems to execute duties, e.g. Logistics Module (LOGMOD), Deliberate Crisis Action Planning and Execution System (DCAPES), Joint Operations Planning and Execution System (JOPES), Logistics Feasibility Assessment Capability(LOGFAC). FEDERAL TIME-IN-GRADE (TIG) REQUIREMENT FOR GENERAL SCHEDULE (GS) POSITIONS:
Merit promotion applicants must meet applicable time-in- grade requirements to be considered eligible. One year at the GS-11 level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS-12 level. TIG applies if you are in a current GS position or held a GS position within the previous 52 weeks. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs):
Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
1. Knowledge of federal and agency logistics plans principles, theories and practices. 2. Skills in interpreting Wartime Aircraft Activity Reports (WAAR),Wartime Consumables Distribution Objectives (WCDO), Time Phased Force Deployment Data (TPFDD) and applying DoD and agency policies and directives. 3. Knowledge of regulatory policy governing agreements to originate, manage, negotiate, consummate, coordinate and advise on intraservice, interservice, international and SOFA requests. 4. Knowledge of WRM program responsibilities. 5. Ability to train functional organization monitors in the preparation of support agreements, including determining manpower requirements and cost estimates. 6. Ability to communicate effectively with a diverse group of individuals, both orally and in writing. PART-TIME OR UNPAID

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
