Experience:
Applicants must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower grade GS-07, or equivalent in other pay systems. Specialized experience includes maintaining, retailing, purchasing, or procurement of automotive, rail, air, bus, or other transportation equipment or services, or in the operation of a commercial transportation facility or terminal. This experience must have demonstrated knowledge of fleet operations; familiarity with Federal, State, and municipal regulations governing the use of transportation vehicles; and the maintenance of inventories and cost computations. OR EDUCATION:
Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.B. or J.D., in a Major study such as accounting, business administration, business or commercial law, commerce, economics, engineering, finance, industrial management, statistics, traffic management, transportation, motor mechanics, nautical science, marine affairs, marine engineering, marine transportation, or other fields related to the position. Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
1. Knowledge of industry and airfield management operations practices, procedures and the established regulations, requirements, and techniques related to the airfield management program. 2. Knowledge of airfields; such as condition of runways, taxiways, aprons, operational status of airfield support facilities (airfield lighting, barriers, navigational aids, etc.) and obstacles that are violations to airfield standards and safety issues that may restrict aircraft operations. 3. Knowledge and understanding of airfield manuals, instructions and procedures to conduct airfield inspections. 4. Knowledge of aerial navigation and aviation techniques, flight operations, flight planning rules, practices, and procedures to develop/change flight plans worldwide. Knowledge of flight operations, visual and instrument flight rules, Federal Aviation Regulations, the international airway routes and structure, oceanic routes, controlled and special use airspace, flight characteristics and systems of several types of aircraft (aircraft altitude/airspeed capabilities, aircraft systems malfunctions), knowledge of flight safety, knowledge of exercise and contingency operations. 5. Ability to act decisively in emergency situations. Ability to communicate effectively and tactfully. 6. Ability to operate various communications devices such as radio, desktop computer, intercoms, etc., and knowledge of procedures for message and report preparation, and notification procedures. The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
