monitors and makes work assignments provides input on performance resolves daily workplace issues and maintains efficient workflow assuring coverage of all areas of responsibility conducting ongoing reviews to ensure quality of work ensuring accurate and timely scheduling of appointments providing guidance to staff members to include changes in policies and procedures distributing and balancing workload creating and maintaining employee work schedules orienting and providing on-the-job training for new and current employees ensuring all training requirements are met organizing the work structure of his/her assigned areas acting as liaison between MSA and staff in order to resolve day to day conflicts Work Schedule:

Specialized Experience GS-07:
You must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-06 level in the Federal service to qualify for GS-07 level. Specialized experience is defined as experience that equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the Lead Medical Support Assistant. Examples of specialized experience include but are not limited to scheduling, canceling, re-scheduling patient's appointments and/or consults; entering no-show information; monitoring a patient scheduling electronic wait list; preparing for clinic visits; monitoring both inpatient and outpatient appointments for areas of responsibility; verifying and updating demographics and insurance information; processing emergency and non-emergency transfers to other hospitals; performing basic eligibility, establishing clinic profiles, co-pays and preauthorization requirements for specific coverage; participating in team huddles and team meetings to manage and plan patient care; setting priorities and deadlines; participating and providing input in problem solving on operational issues or procedures in team meetings; performing administrative follow up actions; participating in and independently following up on team huddles by sharing information and collaborating with the medical team to ensure continuity of care. The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
