We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Permanent Project Manager with a background in excavation in the construction industryThis is an exciting opportunity to join a progressive, fast-paced company, where you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our excavation projects from conception to completionThe successful candidate will have a keen eye for detail, exceptional organizational skills, and a proven track record of managing large-scale excavation projects within the construction sector
Responsibilities:
Oversee all stages of project life cycle, including conception, planning, execution, monitoring, control, and closure. Coordinate with architects, engineers, and other construction and building specialists to ensure project success. Conduct site inspections to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards. Develop and manage project budgets and schedules, ensuring all projects are delivered on time and within budget. Coordinate and direct construction workers and subcontractors, ensuring they understand their roles and responsibilities. Review work progress on daily basis and make adjustments as necessary to meet project deadlines. Use specialized construction industry software for project management and estimating. Negotiate contracts with external vendors to reach profitable agreements. Ensure all legal requirements, building and safety codes, safety inspections, city guidelines, and local and state regulations are met. Maintain strong relationships with clients, architects, consultants, contractors, and other project stakeholders.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Project Manager in the construction industry, specifically in excavation. Proven experience as an estimator, excavator, and land surveyor. Bachelor's degree in construction management, architecture, engineering, or related field. Proficient in construction project management and estimating software. Solid understanding of construction operations and processes. Familiarity with quality and health and safety standards. Excellent organizational and time-management skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to lead and manage teams. Ability to negotiate and work with clients and vendors. Must possess a valid driver's license.
