Job Summary The Dietary Aide is responsible for assisting with the preparation and delivery of food to our residents.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for elder care, a strong understanding of nutrition and food service, and a commitment to providing quality care to our residents.
Assist with the preparation of food, including washing, chopping, and cooking vegetables and fruits; preparing salads; and setting up and breaking down the dining room.
Duties:
- Sanitate kitchen and dining areas to maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards - Assist with meal preparation, including chopping vegetables, preparing salads, and portioning meals - Cook simple dishes under the supervision of a chef or cook - Clean and sanitize dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment - Assist with bussing tables and maintaining a clean dining areaAssist with the delivery of food to residents, including setting up trays, serving food, and clearing away dishes.
- Assist with the cleaning of the kitchen and dining room, including washing dishes, sweeping, and mopping floors, and taking out trash.
- Work with other dietary staff to ensure that the dietary needs of our residents are met.
Qualifications and Skills:
